About Us
The Home & Vehicle Modification® Program (HVMP) was established by the Ministry of Community and Social Services (MCSS) in 1999, and is administered by Ontario March of Dimes.
This Ontario program provides funding for basic home and/or vehicle modifications. HVMP delivers approximately $9 million in funding each year to meet the needs of people with physical limitations in Ontario.
How Much Funding is Provided?
Consumers who meet program criteria can apply for grant funding:
- Up to $15,000 lifetime maximum for home modifications
- Up to $15,000 every ten years for vehicle modifications
HVMP delivers approximately $9 million per fiscal year to meet the needs of people with physical limitations in Ontario.
Applicant Assessment
People seeking funding from the HVMP may complete an Applicant Assessment Form online or may request one via telephone (see below).

Submission of an applicant assessment form initiates the process of applying to the program. The process is designed to collect consumer information to qualify an applicant. Qualified applicants will be requested to complete a modification proposal.
