Just following up with you regarding me dealings with one of your Therapist. I wanted to share with you what a pleasant and informative employee you have. I came to Nicole quite desperate as I needed immediate help and information regarding my cpap machine and mask. What was unique to this situation is that I hadn't purchase my equipment from your store in the first place but was so dissatisfied with the after sale service I received from the company I had bought from.....I contacted Nicole firstly, for some advice and she ended up taking me in and looking after me like I was one of her clients. Nicole was professional and had the knowledge to resolve my issue. Many times service is only acknowledged when there is a problem. I am writing today to express my gratitude and wanted to advise you on what great staff you have. For sure in the future if I have any further Cpap issues or when I need new equipment I will for sure be going to Motion Specialties in Barrie, Ontario. Hi Brandon:

Having suffered from sleep apnea over many years, I never expected to find any relief. The ResMed S9 Auto-Set has made a significant change in my life. Now, I have more energy and a more positive outlook on life. Brandon, my Respiratory Therapist, made my transition to CPAP-assisted sleep so easy. His low-key, friendly manner encouraged me and led me through a trial period and finally to a permanent CPAP unit. Brandon emphasized the need to perform regular maintenance on my ResMed unit and answered any questions easily. Hi Peter:

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the trouble that you went to get it repaired.  Also Bobbie was great, very good with his work and even gave me some good advice.
I want to commend your organization for stepping in when the "distributer" showed no interest.  I sometimes wonder what other seniors do when they are mentally disabled and are unable to get action in cases like mine.  It will be a year in October since I got the wheelchair and it is only now that I feel safe using it and able to travel longer distances.
Please also thank Kelly Drummond for me as well. She walked me thru this whole process starting in March of 2011 and without her I would not have been aware of the pitfalls that seniors and disabled people receive these days.

Joint effort with Motion Specialties Kitchener and Barrie

Motion Specialties Kitchener Team:

I have been on oxygen for 2 years now and started with another company and then changed to Motion as I wanted to be free to continue with my way of life and not restricted to having many TANKS in the car.
I have been given the chance to try different systems and sometimes even a few at a time. This has given me freedom and I do so want this for as long as I can.
Motion Specialties has made this happen for me and they are very accommodating. I had a very big problem a week ago when I was up north at our trailer and my machine quit; after calling Emergency Numbers they had another machine to me ASAP and delivered by Andrew (Motion Barrie) who was so nice about coming 3hrs away in the night that I was grateful to the work done by this group.

My name is Jenni and both my parents have received oxygen and CPAP services from Motion Specialties in the last year. Originally my mother went on oxygen first with a different company, and though their service was fine, we ended up switching to Motion Specialties as their product catalogue was much more diverse. Since then, my mother has had great success with her portable oxygen concentrator; it has helped her to maintain her daily living, and she is confident in her equipment. I am pleased we switched also, as the level of client-care is exceptional and a real assurance when questions or problems arise.

I can’t thank Motion Specialties enough for their personalized service, the caring and patient nature of their staff, and the wide range of products they provide. If you need something, they are sure to come up with a solution to fit your needs – who could ask for more? Thank you Sandra, and Motion Specialties for making this difficult path a little easier to walk... I would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone starting this journey.

I have been on the CPAP machine and oxygen for a year now. Within a month of treatment I was able to stay awake the whole day where I had been sleeping all the time.  I never realized how sleep deprived I was until I got the machine. Not only was the equipment helpful but Sandra was there for me always answering my many calls immediately with expertise and compassion. Without her help I am not sure I would have gotten the same results from the equipment. Motion Specialties and especially Sandra gave me back my life!.

This is just a quick note to thank you for all of your efforts regarding our son Michael and his home oxygen arrangement with Motion Specialties. You always check in with us to replenish our supplies or check on the performance of our home oxygen concentrator. It is much easier to have our oxygen supplier with the same company that we purchase so many of our mobility aids from.
It is nice to hear familiar voices on the phone. We especially appreciated the extra support you gave us when we went on our Children's wish vacation to Disneyworld in Florida, providing us with a portable oximeter and concentrator for the airplane. You even visited Michael in the hospital prior to our departure to ensure we had the best equipment to suit Michael's medically fragile needs. Michael needed the oxygen on the plane both ways and we felt confident in your choice for him way above the clouds. Thank you for being there for us.

I was introduced to Zach Bennett through a friend and we set an appointment. It was over months of consultation that his glut of knowledge pertaining to mobility, careful consideration, lengthy conversation, his patience and thoughtful examination of my everyday needs, as well as those unique ones, that allowed him to 'create' a chair that fit both my body and lifestyle perfectly.

Dear Mr. Fraser:

It gives me great pleasure to write to you today, and be writing a letter of recommendation, as opposed to one of complaint.

My elderly Mother (92 years) suffers from muscular dystrophy, and currently lives on her own. She is wholly dependent on her power chair and wheelchair for mobility and survival.  Over the past several years I had been dealing with another large competitor for various repairs and issues with her now 7 year old Ultra Jet.  These have been many and under all circumstances have been urgent in nature, based on her circumstances.

Last week was the final straw for me in my dealings with this competitor.  My voice mail messages to their customer service co-ordinators were never returned on a timely basis. I continually tried to have someone paged through the switchboard, to no avail. At that time, I decided to call your company. From my first conversation with Todd in the service dept, who immediately arranged for Arnold to see my Mother that very afternoon, his immediate follow through to let me know the diagnosis of the problem and possible solutions, was my first indication that I had found a far superior service firm.  Upon learning of the costs to repair the chair, we made a combined decision to purchase a new one.

Since last Tuesday, I have been completely overwhelmed at the outstanding level of customer service, follow through and obvious pride in what your people do.  Of exceptional mention is DK Yan.  He has gone above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate our numerous and very specialized requests.  He facilitated the meeting with Nancy Kim to co-ordinate the ADP funding approval, he pushed through a rush order to have a new chair (for trial) ready for her on Saturday.  He took time off from his own weekend to bring and set-up the chair on Saturday.  We are having a few issues as the wheels are wider than her original chair, therefore not allowing her access to her sink/cupboards and cabinets, but we are all working together to find an alternative solution.  Whether it is new thinner, narrower wheels, or a smaller chair, I’m confident a solution will be reached.

I have written to the Service Manager this competitor outlining my extreme disappointment at their failure to perform, their loss of a valued customer, loss of a new sale, and my decision to retain Motion Specialists as my service provider.  I have since received a sincere apology and regret as to my decision, but I am fully confident in Motion Specialties and wanted to let you know this.  I will use every opportunity possible to tell others of my experience.

So many organizations these days do not value customer service.  You should be proud of your firm and the people you employ.

To whom it may concern:

My scooter was falling apart and the seat started giving me back pain. It was now time to get a replacement unit. I connected with a consultant at Motion Specialties, Sal SanJuan, who confirmed that my Fortress 1700 that is more than seven years old needed replacement due to the current issues as well as past repair history. Sal’s enthusiasm and passion to help was evident from the start. He took care of everything I needed from start to finish including all the questions in between. He also introduced me to Bien Ma. Bien was able to modify my scooter to match my every need, from raising the basket, shortening the tiller, customizing the handlebars, to adjusting the control toggles so that my fingers wouldn’t hurt. He even fixed the seat so I could attach a bag to it. I am about 3 foot tall so you can try to imagine the amount customization involved.

The man in my humble opinion is a ‘Wizard!’. I am now a proud Motion Specialties convert and will come back for any mobility needs. Thank you again Sal and Bien for all wonderful work!

My daughter and I are writing this letter of support for Motion Specialties. Motion Specialties is a local organization that possesses a unique spirit and compassion when dealing with persons with physical disabilities. We have a close relationship with key people who do an exceptional job in articulating the value of products, the products that most meet our need or finding solutions for people with complex seating issues. I have dealt with some of their staff in the past regarding my daughters seating system and they have provided unequaled support and a great deal of knowledge regarding body mechanics and physical disabilities. Our interests or concerns have always come first above all else. I have dealt with Motions for many years now and can’t imagine them not being a major part of our lives. They are always there to assist us in any way possible and I have found that they have gone above and beyond on many occasions. Whether I am buying a scoop bowl or requiring assistance of a more serious nature, I can always count of Motion Specialties to provide them to me in a reliable, honest and caring manner.

A family that has a person with a physical disability has to go through many trying times that do not end as years go by. It causes many hardships not only on the family but also the feelings, emotions and pain that the individual with the disability has to endure. It is refreshing and calming to know that there is an organization in the city that knows your family as a whole and is there to assist in any way possible to make your life a little bit easier. This is the kind of business that Motions Specialties is and has been throughout the years. They get to know you and are like a part of your family. That’s what any person would want, reliability….. compassion and caring.

Just thought that I would let you know how awesome we think that David and Rene are, as well as Motion Specialties as a whole.

We appreciate that they regularly come in on Fridays for the mobility clinic, first thing in the morning and always check in with me to see if there is anything that popped up that might not have gotten in the repair books and always follow up with me afterwards. Our residents and families comment on how friendly and approachable they are as they always take the time to explain things to them. And there have been times when I have called him later on, on a Friday to tell him about a repair that needs to be done and he always makes sure to come back out and fix it for us. If an emergency request is sent in, it is completed right away.

I am very happy that we made the switch to Motion Specialties a couple of years ago as your team works well together. I hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

But occasionally unforeseen circumstances (in this case, the client's having second thoughts, among other things) complicate what was predicted to be a routine visit. I just want you guys to know what a difference you made for my mom. She has gained back a level of independence she had lost and that is invaluable.

Mom had a very hard time accepting she needed an assistive device and you guys were able to help her accept that. She was off on her own with her new wheels the very next morning to have her toenails done!! She loves her walker and shows it off to everyone.

And this is huge - you gotta know my mom. She commented to me more than once that you guys are very nice and know what you are talking about. She was very impressed. So way to go! You have made a huge difference for yet another person.

I would like to express our sincere appreciation for a wonderful experience we had in the recent parts purchase and repair of my mom's wheelchair.

We had dealt with Motion Specialties 6 years ago when we first designed and purchased this customized wheelchair for my mother. Back then, the quality and service was incredible, therefore by the time we needed maintenance and repairs, there was no other company that we would have approached other than Motion Specialties.

Once again, you have demonstrated remarkable and high quality service and workmanship. My mom required very unique and customized parts based on her medical needs post strokes. We appreciate that you recommended an experienced OT specialized in wheelchair seating and one who speaks Chinese to communicate with my dad and my mom. Together, both you and the OT designed solutions that have improved my mom's seating posture and comfort and, more importantly, minimized injuries from her agitation. This required a lot of thought, experience, and care for your clients and it was clearly demonstrated by your service.

Moreover, your customer service was extraordinary and professional. You were very efficient and were always willing to meet with the family and my mom at times that was most convenient for us. The speed of your service was very quick that, within weeks, all the consultation, design, repairs, and installation were complete. You were always prompt in responding to emails and voice messages. Thank you for also helping us apply for funding through ODSP and doing all the paperwork on my mom's behalf. The process was seamless.

Thank you once again for all your help and providing an extremely hassle-free experience. We would highly recommend Motion Specialties to anyone for any standard or customized wheelchair needs!

Last week life took an unexpected turn for us; we were told my father's health was deteriorating and he would have difficulty standing or walking. Needless to say, we were extremely overwhelmed and in need of guidance.

We wanted to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation for all you did. It was 11am when I walked into your store and by 1pm you were in my home reassuring us that a stair lift would be installed in 2 days! Not only did you make this unfortunate situation easier for us to get through it was actually a pleasure to meet you and your service staff. We also had the pleasure of meeting Jonathan, who came out the next morning to ensure that all was working well; again the responsiveness was impressive and appreciated. Watching the smile on my father's face coming up the stairs on his new Stannah Stair Lift this morning was one of those "priceless" moments.

Dear Mr Booth,

I understand that you are the supervisor of Sal San Juan, R.P.N. and we wanted to pass on our feedback from our recent wheelchair purchase.

My family was struggling with our Dad's advancing dementia, weekly falls resulting in hospital trips and stitches, etc. I was put in touch with Raj who works with the Versa Care/Main Terrace nursing home as physiotherapist. Raj explained that the process of getting Dad a good chair would be fast and painless. I was not really believing him but was pleasantly surprised.

After Raj made the recommendations, Sal entered the picture. I found that he was bright, clear to speak with (I have a brain injury), compassionate as to our situation with our Dad, both about the worry and financial issues.

Sal and Raj have an excellent working relationship, which allowed our Dad to have his new chair customized and provided to him in record time. The choice of chair was also perfect, taking into consideration all Dad's present and future needs. Sal took the time to explain all of this in a way I could understand and even had all the chair parts labelled with Dad's name so they wouldn't go missing.

Sal has a passion for his work that comes through when he deals with families who are distraught and confused. He seems to delight in helping people. Finally, not only was he pleasant but he did everything he said he would, on time, no errors. We appreciate that as well!
